Privacy Notice

What This App Is

This is a temporary event management app created for the Hack Days 2025 event (October 30-31, 2025). This is a personal project built to support the hackathon and is not an official company platform.

Information We Collect

When you use this app, we collect:

• Your name and email address (via Clerk authentication)
• Project ideas and descriptions you submit
• Team formation and collaboration data
• Registration information for the event

How We Use Your Data

Your information is used to:

• Facilitate event registration and participation
• Enable project submission and team collaboration
• Manage the hackathon event (scheduling, teams, etc.)
• Verify you are an authorized participant

Data Sharing

After the event concludes, you have the option to:

• Request an export of all event data (projects, teams, registrations)
• Allow the data to be shared with event organizers as a zip file or similar format
• Request deletion of your personal information

No data will be sold or shared with third parties outside of the event context.

Data Retention

This is a temporary event app. All data will be retained only for the duration of the event and a short period after (approximately 30 days) to allow for data export and event wrap-up. After this period, all personal data will be deleted unless you explicitly request otherwise.

Third-Party Services

This app uses the following third-party services:

• Clerk - for authentication and user management
• Convex - for database and backend services

These services have their own privacy policies and data handling practices.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in the app
• Request correction of any inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data at any time
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of having your data shared with event organizers after the event

Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, as this is a temporary event app, please do not share sensitive or confidential information beyond what's necessary for event participation.
